The marvellous scenery surrounding Murnau makes the market town and the region around lake Staffelsee so attractive for hiking and biking. Gentle hills, well-marked easy trails and the splendid alpine panorama provide rest and relaxation and ensure a memorable outing. In addition, you will find numerous other possibilities for sport activities to choose from.

There are plenty of bicycle tours. In the bicycle tour map "The Blue Land" you will find more than 220 km of marked trails for family biking, 170 km for the "racers" among the visitors and 99 km of mountain bike tracks. Our trained cycling guides gladly take you on a tour. By the way, German Rail offers free transport of bicycles throughout the county.

If you prefer to experience nature on foot, you will find a network of about 110 km of marked hiking- and walking paths.
